At the time I was a stay-at-home mum without any qualifications. I saw an NZMA ad that said ‘do you want a career in a fast growing industry?’ My answer to that was YES!
Absolutely! The course taught me a lot and most of all it made me believe in myself. After graduating from NZMA I got my first contact centre job at Countdown, and I’ve been here ever since. I’ve worked my way up from CSR, to Senior Supervisor, to Team Leader and now Assistant Contact Centre Manager. I never thought in a million years I’d end up in a management role like this!
I love my job. I work with a fabulous bunch of people from different cultures and every day is different. I’ve been in the industry for eight years yet I’m always learning something new!
